Blade Runner: Futurism
Moving away from vintage and classical styles, Blade Runner, Riddley Scott’s cult futuristic film, has an eccentric approach to fashion. The minimalistic outfits, slightly inspired by Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, gained the film a BAFTA award for Best Costume in 1983. But the influence in the fashion world is still relevant (doesn’t that second picture remind you slightly of those Balmain jackets…).
